Pokemon Soul Silver Adventures #4 Prt 2

Can’t leave y’all hanging there with me at le Lake of Rage, could i?

So… i found Lance.

But why does he have to leave me to battle ALL the grunts alone?

I mean like…

Why u do dis to me? Lance?!

You might as well do charge thru dat thing yerself?

Or…

Well whateva~

I head to B3 and find out the 2 passwords. Team Rocket Grunts in the game… well, they’re programmed for da sake of convenience.

And the passwords: Raticatetail and Slowpoketail… <-at least something better? Please?

Finally outta the HQ~

Then i head STRAIGHT into the gym. That’s when i realise i haven’t healed yet…

Damn, good thing i saved.

And… the gym itself.

Just saying the gym leader battle wasn’t that bad…

but mostly i battled my way through the trainers(with mostly Seels and Dewgongs) with my Ampharos(super-super-duper effective against water), only using my Typhlosion against Pryce’s Mamoswine(since Ground-type is immune to Electric-type, sigh)

I realised that after the first trainer battle, where my Typhlosion’s attacks were deemed not-so-effective. Still, after receiving the badge, Prof Elm calls and says bout the channels being switched to Team Rocket Announcements.

Time then…

4:57 PM

Reaction:

WHY?! Why u do dis to me?! I wanted to listen to Buena’s Password Show! (comes on at 5PM)

Turned on the Pokegear and listened to the announcement. I bet Giovanni’s reaction was to facepalm himself. (Damn, you grunts. Toldja not to be so… dumb)

At Goldenrod…

I’m sure for those of you who’ve played the game, you have to go Underground and receive the uniform from the Grunt stationed there.

So… at first nothing happens.

Goes past the grunt at L1(well, almost)

Then guess what?!

Rival(named him Silver, i’m Wen, btw) comes by and STRIPS me!

Well, good thing i went with the guy… or else…

Pokemon Soul Silver Adventures #4

Woah, woah…

I’ve clocked in a little more than 24 hours of playtime and am in the midst of catching my lovely Red Gyrados.

Currently at the Lake of Rage, surfing when…

Had a good laugh, but i want nobody nobody but you(Read Gyarados~)

Won the bug-catching contest yesterday with a lvl 17 Caterpie and got ANOTHER sun stone.

Guess beggars can’t be choosers.

A new tip with the bug-catching contest:

As soon as you find a high-level bug and have caught it(the highest possible level, i mean), you can straightaway click the flag button and retire.

I’m sure most of y’all know it but i’m just sayin’…

For those of you who caught it, was it hard getting it to face you so you could hit the ‘A’ button to battle it?

Mine kept on swimming away… Now i understand how Eusine feels chasing Suicine, but at least mine doesn’t run all around Johto…

It’s a tough job catching dat shiny Gyarados WITHOUT fainting it since my first pokemon was Ampharos which i sent out to Paralyze it. It kept on fainting even when i used Ampharos’s WEAKEST electric move– Thundershock. <-honestly? You’re level 30, y’know?

Good thing i saved but i had to restart like around 2-3 times.

Last attempt, i figured out that i could use my Typhlosion’s fire-type moves(strongly suckish) on him to cut down his HP before  i throw my Heavy ball on him since i got him Paralyzed (by my awesome-ness~).

Ember didn’t work that much.

Tried Swift. Hardly any effect.

Last resort: Lava Plume. Hmm, okay not bad. Managed to lower its HP to red zone(safe to catch)

I wanted to play safe and use a Heavy Ball on him.

Catcha!

Welcome to da team, Rados~

Wut? Lulz. But i only want da Red/Shiny Gyrados.

One Short #1– Dark Chocolate (not done yet, will update soon)

Title:  Dark Chocolate

Characters: Latte, Keith, Chocolate, Parkinsons, Janice, Joseph

Sypnosis:

Nice to meet you, I’m Latte and this year I’m 14. I’m a psychic, by the way.

I see through eyes that are not of my own… I feel pain; pain from deep within my heart, not my own, but belonging to others. It’s just my ability. It hurts my body, just a little when someone out there dies, but otherwise I’m all numb to it.

Sheesh, my heart’s so cold I think it must’ve been buried deep beneath the permafrost. I see myself in the mirror: the eyes that stare back to me are lifeless, like that of a stray that longs for death to end its suffering.

How I wish that were true.

Ch1: How it all began.

The blonde trudged down the alley, her hands on the wall to support herself and then she vomited. A hangover obviously. Rather miraculously, her eye shadow is still intact but the rest of her isn’t. She reaches for the hipflask on her garter, carefully hidden behind her slinky red dress and takes a sip of the amber liquid. Then another. A small bulge below her thigh betrays my unborn brothers; from a one-night stand on god-knows-when. I’ve watched this scene countless times in my dreams; my stillborn brothers, who’d later die never having opened their eyes. So many have died the tons of unborn siblings I have are due to sudden infant death syndrome or stillborn. My biological mother died giving birth to Keith.

Ch2: The story of a man and a woman

I knew a man. He grew up in a normal family, but he had excellent grades. It led him to enter a university and find a bride. The bride would be the only person he ever loved. Yet all she gave him were 2 children. He loved her but deep down, he wasn’t satisfied. Then he met her, the other woman. Their chemistry went pretty well, but he couldn’t help feeling guilty as he saw his pregnant wife carrying twins. He already had a son. Now he was going to have 2 more angels to brighten up the mansion he lived in.

Yet to imagine the sadistic joy he felt when his wife died. The only woman he had loved and would ever love. He was torn apart from going insane from grief or simply re-marrying; after all, hadn’t they promised back when she was alive to get along without her? He chose the latter, it led to him divorcing another four times and going on honeymoon five times in total. Still, he missed her, his wife, his bride, his childhood friend. Most importantly, the only woman he had ever loved.

Then the unbelievable happened. Still, he claims it to be the blonde’s fault. He had entrusted the only two heirs of his business to her after several sessions of failed trickery. He was defenceless, as usual, to her petty advances. He hated himself, since there was no way to face her when he died. So he drowned himself in sorrow, after having realised the steel-coldness of their relationship and losing the last remains of his heaven to her. Imagine the desperation he had felt at that moment and then the anger. He hurriedly rang up his lawyer and within 3 months, they were divorced.

Without her meal ticket, the blonde took to overboard dating, yet she paid the children no heed. She fed them, provided them with the necessities to survive and that was all. She wasn’t home a lot, so the older child became the parent to the younger. Still, at times they were sick, their neighbours took care of them. This way of growing up led the older child to multitask a lot of things; cooking while studying for tests, watching television while patching clothes, thus becoming the ideal future reverse-housewife.

Nice, isn’t it? Then I’d applaud your sick humour then. The man was my father. The father that both Keith and I shared. The blond bimbo’s almost insane ever since we got called back to the household this year as per request from yours truly and his wife.

Amazing, how having a slacking parent produces such a child. I was that child, with added supernatural ability aforementioned. I see through eyes that are not of my own, I feel the pain of others and I can delve into the minds of anyone I wanted to, though only in dreams. Conscious, I can summon objects and heal myself without any medication. The first and third ability comes naturally, the second only awakened after the blonde got drunk and beat me up. Then there’s also the empty sinking feeling I have whenever someone dies; I just know it and it feels as though I was standing in a room lit by countless candles and suddenly one goes out. I’ve also felt the pain of childbirth once when I went to the hospital; it feels like a winter gale so strong that it racks your bones, almost to the extent of tearing flesh from bone.

But sometimes I just don’t know what to call myself; cursed or blessed? I can feel pain, yet my heart is always empty, always cold. It hurts more than anything I’ve felt, that black hole in my heart.

Penguins of Madagascar(movie)

I was laughing my ass off as i watched the trailer. Especially when Kowalski says to toddler/newly-hatched Private…

Private: Are you my family? (that lil baby is SOOO cute~)

Kowalski: You don’t have a family. And we’re all going to die.

Private: What? (same reaction here…)

Skipper: *slaps Kowalski* What’s the matter with you Kowalski?!

Now i see that their personality is formed at such a young age.

At 0:39…

Skipper says something like Homie, boys!

Meanwhile Private’s butt catches fire since he is butt-diving instead of nosediving.

Later part of trailer…

Classified(the wolf): The North Wind is an elite…

Skipper: *biting on Cheesy dibbles* crunch

Classified: *repeats himself*

Skipper: crunch crunch

Private: Are you my family? Kowalski: You don’t have a family. And we’re all going to die. Private: What? Skipper: *slaps Kowalski* What’s the matter with you Kowalski?

The 100 Doraemon Secret Gadget Expo @ City Square Mall, Malaysia Part 2

Continued from before…

Recap: I tell y’all bout the 100 Doraemon Secret Gadget Expo held at City Square Mall, Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Now, i’ll tell you about JCo Donuts and more…

So… immediately after the Expo we went for donuts. Specifically, JCo donuts. And we bought a Chocomint Frappe( mmm… delicious!) and a latte( i think)… It’s probably tradition to eat/buy (JCo) donuts in Malaysia (cheaper than in SG) but this time we ate them(mwahahaha)

We stuffed ourselves full with 2 donuts a person (sigh, didn’t have space for the Shanghai-ese ramen at Dragon-i for dinner). Then went around snack-hunting for me mom’s fav: Sachima. She prefers the S’porean/M’sian kind of Sachima since they’re harder(nicer to chew) than the chinese/Shanghai-ese variety, for me i can’t settle. On the way we passed by a shop selling magazines( a newspaper stand) and the manga(comic) books on the shelves caught my eye. Hence, i entered and was greeted by paradise~

Sitting on the higher levels of the shelf, was Kuroshitsuji!

I settled for Kuroshitsuji 11 since it had Charles Grey on the cover~

Lesson learnt: There’s hidden treasure in newspaper/magazine stands!

Swear i’m gonna buy moar next time i go to City Square Mall~

Until then…

Next time~

Soft Launch of Doraemon Secret Gadgets Expo

By Tourism Malaysia ~ Cuti-Cuti 1Malaysia · Updated about 11 months ago

Kuala Lumpur, 13 November, 2013 – Come December, Japan’s most lovable anime character, Doraemon will be in Malaysia for a 100 days expo to meet with his die-hard fans here. The expo, the first of its kind in Malaysia is held to mark Doraemon’s 100th pre-birth year and is scheduled to open its door on Saturday, 14 December 2013 at Viva Home Expo Hall in Kuala Lumpur from 10am.

From there on the expo will run until 23 March 2014, thus Doraemon will be spending 100 days to be exact with his beloved Malaysian Manga fans and together will celebrate Visit Malaysia Year 2014 (VMY 2014)

Doraemon is a Japanese animae tv series about an extremely intelligent robotic cat known as Doraemon from the future, that travels back into time to help a rather miserable, often bullied, hapless young boy named Nobita Nobi. Said to be born on September 3, 2112, Doraemon owns a magical pocket that allows him to conjure up thousands of different gadgets, tools and potions. Doraemon uses these very special tools to help get Nobita out of his sticky situation that arises in his daily life. It is this heroic nature of Doraemon that has lovingly endeared him to his millions of fans worldwide making him one of the top most popular cartoon characters internationally!

As this the first 100 Doraemon Secret Gadget Expo, to be held in South East Asia, Animation International (M) Sdn Bhd’s Director Mr Steve Chow that the company is delighted to get the full support and endorsement from the Ministry of Tourism and Culture’s Visit Malaysia Year 2014 Secretariat.

“We hope with this great support, 100 Doraemon Secret Gadget Expo will able to attract and bring in more families with their children and Doraemon fans from our neighbouring countries such as Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei and the Philippines”, said Mr Chow.

Previous to this, the said Expo was also held in other Asian countries such as Hong Kong, Beijing and Taiwan and response to the Expo have been nothing but magically overwhelming especially from families.

“Looking at the wonderful response gotten from the public towards this Expo in those countries, it is indeed our hope that via this mega 100 Doraemon Secret Gadget Expo, we will be able to share the same magical feeling of happiness, togetherness and bonding thus creating great family values for Doraemon’s Malaysian avid fans particularly families and their children”, said Mr Chow.

The expo will feature 100 life-size Doraemon figurines, 100 iconic gadgets and display of well-known scenes in Doraemon’s stories. Among the 100 variety magical tributes to the cartoon, the most impressive will be the 100 1.2m-high models of the earless feline lined up inside the exhibition hall.

Each Doraemon figurine will be equipped with different and increasingly bizzare gadgets for which he is famous – from a ‘Magic Cloth’ that can reverse or fast-forward time to the ‘Take-copter’ a bamboo propeller that attaches to any part of your body and airlift you to safety to undoubted favourite “Time Machine”, that lets one travel through both time and space.

Visitors to the expo would also be able to bring home with them exclusive Doraemon merchandise as well as trying out Doraemon’s favourite snacks, dorayaki (red bean pancake), Memory Bread and many other Doraemon’s themed food and drinks at the special Doraemon Café, are among of the many highlights prepared for Doraemon’s die-hard fans.

Tickets for the expo is RM25 for adults (13 years and above) and RM15 for children (aged between 4 to 12).The tickets are made available for online purchase from 30th November 2013 onwards at MYTicket Malaysia (www.myticket.asia). (A/N: You can buy tickets at the counter in front ofMacDonald’s, wasn’t any queue when i went there)

On Sunday, 5th October(at long last), my family and i headed for the Doraemon Expo which showcases 100 of Doraemon’s secret gadgets, currently held till the 4th of January 2015 at City Square Mall, Johor Bahru in Malaysia, its last stop.

I’ll start off by telling y’all how we got there.

We headed for Kranji from the Choa Chu Kang MRT where we caught a Causeway Link Smiling yellow bus at SGD$0.80 per person. The air-con is not as good as the SBS buses (170, 160 from Kranji and 950 from Woodlands) but at least we had seats. No traffic jams on the causeway(whew!) thus we whizzed through the ICA (S’pore). On board the second bus, we then headed for the JB Checkpoint, where we would be stuck for 1.5 hours (or more!) queueing up to get our passports stamped. And if not for the couple in front of us who (indirectly) told us our queue( lane no. 2) was slower and there was a faster alternative (lane no. 17), we’d be stuck there for more than 1.5 hours.

Finally! We trudged outta the place, still swarming with people , heading towards said mall where we bought cupcorn(sis’s request) before heading down to Level 1 then get lost finding the entrance.

Inside well…

I wouldn’t spoil the fun for you, but just to give y’all the generals.

There are many, many Doaremon figures/statues each with a famous ‘secret gadget’ such as the Time Cover, the Copter with their functions stated at the foot of the figures/statues.

There is also a section devoted to how Doraemon lost his ears and became blue, as well as a booklet you can buy for RM 9.90 to collect the stamps along the exhibition. There are a total of 15 stamps and 5 stations, the stations located near the entrance of each new section, the stamps are of different colours. The last station was a bit tricky to find, just a clue though. It’s in the last section that you wanna avoid, among them plushies that wave enticingly at you…

And now…

To the completely unrelated prt 2 where i tell y’all ’bout my Jco experience and my first Kuroshitsuji comic book~

My togepi has hatched(finally) and after getting through Union Cave i’ve been wondering, should i get a water-type pokemon?

Or should i just hatch my Wooper(woopie-not) into a quagsire which STILL is pretty useful. Wait a minute…

Woohoo~ Exams are over!

As you may (not) know, i live in a country where it is a must to learn a second language, that is, your Mother Tongue. And today, it’s the last day of the exams. Actually, as soon as this is posted, it already is. And i promise in the list below that it may be done in those paradise-like 3 months.

Video Games. I’ll write some reviews and shit for my pokemon games.

Stories. I have my Moon Type to revamp,Steampunk Hazard to continue, Tech City to start off and of course, the Science Fiction crap to start. <-this one’s a heartwarmer/Sci-Fi.

Exercise. I need that.
